- Freescale e500 Core Signal Processing Extensions support - foundation for all QorIQ line of processors
- MIPS processor support
- Interrupt to thread latency jitter improvement
- BIND9 - most up-to-date version of BIND9 is ported.
- io-net legacy driver migration documentation
- File systems:
- read-only Apple HFS+
- read-only Microsoft NTFS
- ETFS retires bad blocks automatically in driver, adds support for cross-endian QNET connection
- Core Graphics
- OpenKode compliant composition manager - adds standards-based graphical layering to QNX Core Graphics
- WebKit-based web browser engine - high performance embeddable web browser
